Our clients are small to midsize businesses, nonprofit organizations and individuals with year-round accounting needs. We offer a comprehensive suite of services including Tax Planning and Compliance, Client Accounting Services and Consulting Services. We currently have an opening for a full-time position working a hybrid remote schedule, coming into office approximately 2 days per week.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Provides tax consulting and compliance work to the firm's clients. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Preparation of corporate, individual, partnership, fiduciary, and other tax returns prepared by the firm. Technical research and appropriate documentation of the basis of a position. Responsible for planning and managing time in order to deliver quality work on time and on budget. Monitors engagement budgets. Understanding and application of the rules, requirements, code of conduct and standards of the AICPA, and the authoritative literature established by the FASB, GASB, IRS and FTB. Develops effective working relationships with clients and manages day-to-day client relationships. Identifies opportunities to improve engagement profitability and identifies risk management issues. Identifies and communicates potential business development opportunities, and actively markets and recruits for the firm. Actively supports new initiatives. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations. Sets an example by demonstrating enthusiasm and commitment to professional excellence.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
A degree in Tax, Accounting or Business, CPA or CPA candidate is preferred. Requires strong technical knowledge and skills. Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills are required. Candidate must have strong project management skills, including budgeting and job completion. Should have experience in delivery of proactive quality client service. Requires outstanding written and verbal communication skills. A minimum of 3 years of tax preparation experience is preferred.
SALARY:
$70,000 - $75,000. Full-time position eligible for our benefits package.
