Tax Senior (Contract - Remote)
Location:
Scottsdale, AZ Make an Impact Where It Matters We're looking for a Manager of Tax who wants to do more than just compliance-you'll play a key role in shaping tax strategy, improving processes, and partnering across the business to support smarter decision-making. This is a high-impact, visible role where you'll lead critical tax functions, mentor a team, and collaborate closely with finance leaders, auditors, and cross-functional partners. What You'll Do Lead and review federal and multi-state tax filings across a large, multi-entity organization Own the tax provision process (quarterly and year-end) under IFRS Partner with finance and external auditors to ensure accurate and timely reporting Coach and develop Tax Analysts , while overseeing external service providers Guide the company through tax audits and compliance processes with confidence Support tax planning and forecasting , including effective tax rate analysis Oversee key filings like 1099s, 1042s , and tax depreciation systems Collaborate with internal teams (Finance, HR, Legal, Payroll, Marketing) to provide practical, business-focused tax guidance Contribute to process improvements and efficiencies across the tax function Take on special projects and strategic initiatives as the business evolves What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 8+ years of tax experience , ideally in corporate tax or public accounting Experience leading workstreams or teams at a Manager level or equivalent Bonus Points If You Have Master's in Taxation CPA or EA certification Skills That Will Help You Thrive Strong knowledge of U.S. corporate tax (federal & state) and IFRS reporting Comfort working with ERP systems (SAP/JDE) and tax software tools A problem-solver mindset with strong analytical skills Ability to juggle priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment A collaborative approach-you enjoy working across teams and explaining complex topics clearly A desire to keep learning and growing in an evolving tax landscape Why You'll Love This Role High visibility: Work closely with senior leadership and influence key decisions Career growth: Lead a team and expand your strategic experience Collaborative culture: Partner across departments and make a real impact Global organization: Be part of a larger international food company with strong momentum All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
