Key Responsibilities:
Tax Compliance Assistance:
Assist in the preparation of tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, or other entities, following tax regulations and guidelines.
Data Gathering:
Collect and organize financial data, including income statements, expense reports, and receipts, to support accurate tax calculations.
Research:
Conduct tax research to stay informed about current tax laws, regulations, and changes, helping to address basic tax questions and issues.
Data Entry:
Enter financial data into tax preparation software or spreadsheets to facilitate the tax filing process.
Client Support:
Collaborate with senior tax associates and managers to provide support to clients, addressing inquiries and assisting with tax-related documentation.
Documentation:
Maintain organized tax records and files, ensuring easy retrieval of information for audits and reference.
Tax Software:
Gain proficiency in tax software tools and other software applications relevant to tax preparation and compliance.
Professional Development:
Actively participate in training programs and seek opportunities for continuous learning and skill development.
Qualifications:
Education:
A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is typically required.
Experience:
While prior experience is not mandatory, internship experience or coursework related to taxation is a plus.
Analytical Skills:
