Job Description

Job Responsibilities Federal and State Income Tax Compliance Prepare federal income tax returns. Prepare state and local income/franchise tax returns, extensions, and estimated tax calculations. Manage apportionment computations, state modifications, and NOLs. Monitor and ensure compliance with varying filing requirements and deadlines. Audit Support Respond to tax audit inquiries, notices, and information requests. Research & Planning Conduct research on complex tax issues, including nexus, apportionment, legislative updates, and emerging tax risks. Required Skills / Knowledge Technical Skills Strong understanding of income/franchise tax concepts (nexus, apportionment, unitary rules, etc.). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and common tax compliance systems. Corptax experience is a plus. Ability to research and interpret complex tax statutes and regulations. Soft Skills Strong analytical thinking and problem solving abilities. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a dynamic environment. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Collaborative mindset with readiness to interact across the organization.
Experience Income Tax Specialist:
4-8 years of income/franchise tax experience in public accounting or a corporate tax department. Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA, or MST preferred (but not required depending on level).
