Description Summary:
Consolidated Electrical Distributors, Inc. (CED), one of the country's largest and fastest-growing wholesale electrical distribution companies, is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Tax Analyst to join its corporate tax group. Reports to:
Tax Manager Minimum Qualifications:
5+ years of relevant experience in sales and use tax compliance. Experience in a multi-state environment required. Hands-on experience with Avalara tax engine or Vertex tax engine required. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word required Must be willing to work some weekends and evenings as required to meet reporting deadlines.

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams Ability to manage deadlines across multiple jurisdictions are required • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills. Ability to juggle multiple projects and prioritize deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance CPA or CPA eligible Proficiency in Avalara Tax software Microsoft Access or SQL database programming experience is a plus. Database programing skills
Working Conditions:
This position operates in a professional office environment which may require sitting for extended periods.

The job functions include a broad variety of tax matters including, but are not limited to the following: Assist with multi-state sales tax compliance. Assist with sales tax audits. Prepare inter-company reconciliations. Prepare account reconciliations. Assist with maintenance of in-house tax systems. Assist with field responses including research of taxability related to various scenarios. Assist as needed with business license, unclaimed property, and personal property tax matters. Research and maintain a working knowledge of state sales & tax developments. Collaborate with other departments within the organization and provide assistance as needed.
