Job Description

Job Overview A federal background check and credit check will be conducted. You will also be required to have fingerprints done. We can make an offer, but to be hired the background check has to be completed. Government Third Party Debt Collections with experience collecting SBA loans, student loans, IRS loans. We are a subcontractor for a prestigious Collection Agency. We are looking for growth-oriented collection and litigation professionals who have worked federal government debt to resolution.

Full-Time Responsibilities and Duties:
Communicate with delinquent account holders. Provide thorough, efficient and accurate account updates for every communication. Counsel delinquent account holders on resolution of their payment obligations. Knowledge, understanding, and compliance with all applicable Federal, State, Local Government and Court Rules and regulations relating to job duties. Continuing education and training of Federal and State laws, Court rules, client contract changes; The Telephone Consumer Protection Act, Fair Debt Collections Practices Act, and Cyber Security and workplace standards training. Manage payment arrangements and garnishments. Maintain knowledge of departmental and company policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Ability to advance with our company, as we desire to promote within.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma, General Education Development (GED) certificate or equivalent relevant work experience. Minimum 2 years of collection experience with Government accounts. Previous experience working on federal debt or U.S. Department of Education defaulted student loans. Microsoft Office 365 computer skills Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality. Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills Ability to prioritize and organize work.
Job Type:
Full-time Expected hours: 40 per week.
Weekly day range:
Monday through Friday. After three weeks of training, you will be required to work two late nights from 12 pm to 9 pm. The other three days are 8 am to 5 pm. As of now, no weekends and Fridays are only until 5 pm. You will choose the two late nights to work.

Job Summary:

Responsibilities:
  • Contact individuals with outstanding accounts and negotiate payment plans
  • Monitor accounts to identify overdue payments and make collection calls
  • Update account status and payment information accurately
  • Provide exceptional customer service during interactions with clients
