Job Description
Job Summary The Tax Coordinator is responsible for handling a broad range of administrative responsibilities within the tax department. Specific duties include preparing reports, preparing and processing payments, processing and mailing tax returns, correspondence, electronic filing of returns and other roles as assigned. Attention to detail and follow through are essential tools for success in this role. At Wymer Brownlee Wealth Strategies, we enjoy what we do and the people we do it with. We support all policies, procedures, and programs which build and sustain our internal culture. Essential Functions and Accountabilities include, but are not limited to 1. Scan and process paperwork for tax returns and financial statements. 2. Maintain positive client relationships and serve as client liaison; act as gatekeeper between clients and company to answer questions and resolve issues when possible. 3. Coordinate with clients to pick-up tax returns, extension authorizations, and estimate vouchers. 4. Transmit tax returns and extensions to proper taxing agencies 5. Monitor and update check-off lists, databases and tax season statistics. 6. Help manage workflow of tax and accounting department under the direction of management 7. Provide administrative and client services support, especially during tax season. 8. Act as backup/support to receptionist as needed. 9. Build a confident, respectful relationships with tax and accounting team members. 10. Build a demonstrated understanding of Wymer Brownlee products and services. 11. Adopt and assure the consistent use of repeatable processes to assure the firm maintains operational efficiencies. 12. Other accountabilities as required. Supervisor and Supervisory Responsibilities This position reports directly to the Tax Director. This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities. Competencies
