As a Fiscal Technician, you will be responsible for the accounting activities associated with County categoricals under the Wayne County Human Services Agency (HSA). You can expect to generate monthly reports regarding purchased services, interact with provider agencies to ensure compliance with regulations, analyze and interpret accounting records, and input accounting transactions into the computer accounting program. Focusing on the Children & Youth Services Program, your keen attention to detail skills will be key as your duties will include fiscal data entry, payroll, monthly reconciliations and expense and revenue allocations.Additional duties include:
Assisting with preparation for agency audits Maintaining departmental budget to expense spreadsheets Developing and analyzing Children & Youth Services program invoices, reports and ad-hoc analysisWork Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. Employee may have irregular hours, including evenings, weekends or holidays in addition to overnight or out of county travel for meetings or training.Telework:

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
One year as a Fiscal Assistant; or Three years of work involving the maintenance of fiscal or financial records, including one year of responsible work which involves the application of accounting or fiscal principles and practices; and graduation from high school; or One year of experience in maintaining and reviewing fiscal records and an associate degree in accounting or business administration; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.Other Requirements:
