OCCUPANCY SPECIALIST

• HUD Experience is a Must The Housing Authority of Lake City currently has a position available for an Occupancy Specialist.

Prior experience involving work with programs established to assist low-income persons is a plus. Qualified applicants should have better than average math skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as superior organizational ability. This position requires initiative, confidentiality, and independence. Work involves computer skills, data input, rent calculations, rent collections, annual and interim recertifications, move-ins, inspections, proper set-up of resident files, ensures execution of lease agreements and issues violations and terminations as needed, preparation of court paperwork and ability to present cases in court, ability to meet deadlines, perform inspections, perform clerical duties such as typing, mailings, copies, answering the telephone and any other assigned duties. Heavy personal contact with the public and extensive correspondence is required. Applicants must have the ability to effectively communicate with applicants, tenants, staff, and the public.
