Qualifications:
Minimum QualificationsEducation:
Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of an equivalent credential (GED).
Preferred Education:
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in accounting or a related field is generally preferred
Experience:
Two (2) years of experience analyzing and researching taxpayer accounts.

In this role you will:

Prioritizes, plans, and organizes assigned inventory in a manner that will optimize efficiency on moderately complex account examination work.
  • Plans available time to efficiently complete assigned tasks. Is dependable, meets deadlines and produces high-quality work. Is receptive to constructive feedback and adjusts work behavior based on feedback. Is responsive to inquiries and assignments in a timely manner, regardless of the requestor's status.
  • Verifies that tax data is processed correctly.
  • Calculates Credit Interest (CRI) amounts through refund date and refund credits.
  • Perform file maintenance on taxpayer accounts.
  • Logs in and verifies dollars collected. Updates non-released audit information to the tax systems, calculates final figures and processes final decisions.
  • Verifies overpaid audit amounts, updates CRI and refunds.
  • Performs all tasks associated with completion of the primary tasks such as scanning and verifying completed documents.
  • Provides customer service for internal and external customers by telephone, letter or personal contact.
  • Performs other related work as assigned such as mail review and distribution.
  • Performs the audit redetermination process.
  • Performs processing of Hearing Letters.
