Job Description

Job DescriptionJob Description About Us We are a boutique family office comprised of attorneys, CPAs, and financial advisors providing integrated legal, tax, and financial counsel to a select group of sophisticated clients. Our clients include high-net-worth families and closely held businesses with complex and dynamic financial structures. We intentionally maintain a limited client base to deliver white-glove service and cultivate meaningful, long-term relationships. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Manager to lead and manage our tax advisory and compliance functions. This role is ideal for someone who values precision, professional excellence, and a balanced lifestyle. Because of our curated client list and collaborative team culture, pressure to work long hours is nearly non-existent - you'll have the time and support to focus on accuracy, strategy, and client relationships. Key Responsibilities Manage and review complex federal and multi-state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts, and closely held corporations. Advise clients on sophisticated tax planning strategies, including entity structuring, estate and gift planning, charitable giving, and investment-related tax considerations. Collaborate closely with in-house attorneys and financial advisors to provide holistic planning solutions. Serve as primary client contact for tax matters, maintaining a proactive advisory relationship throughout the year. Research and interpret complex tax issues, prepare memoranda, and support audit responses when necessary. Mentor and review work of junior team members. Qualifications CPA required; JD or Master's in Taxation strongly preferred. Minimum 8-10 years of progressive experience in public accounting, law, or family office environments. Deep technical knowledge of partnership and high-net-worth individual taxation. Exceptional communication and client service skills. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail. Why Join Us Manage an elite but manageable client portfolio-ensuring quality over quantity. Collaborative, cross-disciplinary work environment with tax attorneys and advisors. Significantly reduced hours compared to traditional CPA firms, with competitive compensation and performance-based bonuses. Opportunities for continued professional development and growth in leadership.
