Fulltime Responsibilities:
Compliance & Risk Management:
Leads internal audits and ensures strict adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws, including wage/hour and leave regulations.
Multi-State Payroll & Tax:
Oversees complex in-house payroll processing, ensuring accuracy in wage calculations, bonuses, and diverse state tax requirements. Benefits & 401(k)
Oversight:
Manages end-to-end administration of health plans and retirement schemes, including compliance testing, annual audits, and open enrollment.
Employee Relations:
Conducts unbiased workplace investigations regarding harassment or policy violations and provides guidance on corrective actions.
Strategic Partnership:
Collaborates with executive leadership to align HR initiatives with business goals and uses data-driven metrics to influence decision-making.
Operations & HRIS:
Maintains the integrity of HR systems and personnel records while analyzing workforce analytics like turnover and labor costs.
Culture & Engagement:
Designs retention and recognition programs aimed at improving morale, strengthening organizational values, and closing cultural gaps.
Team Leadership:
Directly supervises and mentors junior HR staff, focusing on professional development, workload delegation, and operational excellence.
Qualifications:
Educational Background:
Prefers a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
Professional Tenure:
Requires at least 4 years of progressive HR experience, with a minimum of 3 years specifically in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
Technical Expertise:
Must have prior hands-on experience in employee relations, HR compliance, benefits administration, and payroll processing.
Legal & Regulatory Knowledge:
Requires strong proficiency in federal, state, and local employment laws and multi-location compliance initiatives.
Leadership & Mentorship:
Proven ability to lead HR staff, influence senior leadership, and partner effectively across various departments.
Software Proficiency:
Strong preference for candidates experienced with ADP Workforce Now and associated Workforce Management systems.
Communication Skills:
Must be able to interpret technical regulations and write professional reports, manuals, and business correspondence.
Presentation & Language:
Ability to present to diverse groups; while English is primary, bilingual skills ( Spanish or Japanese ) are a plus.
Pay:
$87,000.00 - $91,000.00 per year
