$55•$70 per hour Job Details•We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Tax Manager to join our team in the Engineering industry. As a Tax Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing our company's tax operations. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws, preparing and reviewing tax returns, and providing expert tax advice to support our strategic decision-making process. This role requires a deep understanding of tax legislation, excellent analytical skills, and a meticulous approach to work. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role and will have a proven track record in managing tax operations.
Responsibilities:
1. Overseeing all tax operations and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws. 2. Preparing and reviewing federal income tax returns and ensuring their accuracy. 3. Managing and maintaining the company's inventory and deferred taxes. 4. Providing expert tax advice to support strategic decision-making. 5. Identifying tax risks and opportunities and developing strategies to mitigate risks and leverage opportunities. 6. Liaising with external auditors and tax authorities. 7. Keeping up to date with changes in tax legislation and regulations. 8. Collaborating with other departments to ensure the accuracy of financial data and adherence to tax laws. 9. Developing and implementing tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is highly desirable. 2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax management. 3. Extensive knowledge of federal income tax return, inventory, and deferred taxes. 4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 5. Strong knowledge of tax software and databases. 6. In-depth understanding of tax accounting, tax compliance, and all types of tax returns. 7. Strong leadership and team management skills. 8. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. 9. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. 10. High level of integrity and professionalism.
