Direct Hire Lead a team of: 5
Responsibilities:
Manage a portfolio of tax clients and serve as the primary advisor on complex tax matters. Review and approve complex tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, trusts, estates, and nonprofit organizations. Provide advanced tax planning, consulting, and advisory services to clients across various industries. Research and resolve complex tax issues and communicate solutions clearly to clients and staff. Represent clients before taxing authorities during audits, examinations, and tax disputes when necessary. Identify opportunities for additional services and business development.
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master's degree in Taxation or related field preferred. Active CPA license required. 8+ years of progressive public accounting tax experience. Minimum 3-5 years of management or department leadership experience preferred. Extensive experience reviewing complex tax returns and tax planning strategies. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and multi-state taxation. Proven leadership, organizational, and team management skills. Excellent communication, client service, and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency with tax preparation, research, and workflow management software. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
