Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager for a direct hire opportunity in San Diego, CA within the financial services industry. This role is ideal for a tax accounting professional with strong technical tax expertise, leadership ability, and a desire to contribute to a high-performing finance and accounting environment. The Tax Manager will oversee key tax compliance, planning, reporting, and advisory activities while partnering with internal stakeholders and external advisors. Key Responsibilities Manage federal, state, and local tax compliance processes, including review of tax returns, estimates, extensions, and related filings. Lead tax provision, reporting, and analysis activities in coordination with accounting and finance teams. Research complex tax issues and provide practical guidance on tax planning, compliance, and regulatory matters. Monitor changes in tax laws and assess their impact on the organization's tax strategy and reporting requirements. Coordinate with external tax advisors, auditors, and internal stakeholders to support accurate and timely tax deliverables. Identify process improvements, strengthen controls, and support efficient tax department operations.
Compensation and Benefits Salary range:
$150,000 to $200,000 per year. Direct hire opportunity.
