- Key Responsibilites
- The Domestic Indirect Tax Manager will be responsible for: +
Audit Management:
Lead and manage the end-to-end indirect tax audit process from initial document requests to final protest and/or appeals. Develop and execute audit defense strategies while managing outsourced service providers to minimize assessments +Risk Management:
Perform internal reverse audits to identify process gaps while contributing to the OneSource CM2 environment, implementing process improvements to automate data collection and increase accuracy and limit audit exposure +Tax Strategy:
Monitor legislative changes to assess the impact on tax positions and audit readiness. Support the Sr. Tax Manager - State Tax with high-level tax planning, risk mitigation, and M&A integration activities, such as voluntary disclosures +Compliance:
Work closely with the team in India to obtain a working knowledge of the end-to-end indirect tax compliance lifecycle, while utilizing the compliance data to identify and mitigate risks before they arise +Cross-Functional Advisory:
Provide technical guidance to internal stakeholders on new business initiatives and new product integration- Qualifications
- Required Qualifications
- + Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience or Master's degree with 3+ years of experience in a Big 4 accounting firm and/or a large corporate tax department + Advanced professional designation (CPA, EA, or JD/LLM) + Experience with indirect tax controversy, audit defense, and appeals + The ability to operate independently, represent the tax function in cross-functional settings, make decisions and advise the business + Technical proficiency in state and local tax laws and regulations •Preferred Qualifications•+ Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal and teamwork skills + Highly proficient with Excel and comfortable working with different IT applications + Experience with ERP systems (e.
