Tax Manager Everforth CyberCoders - 3.9 Tustin, CA Job Details Full-time 22 hours ago Qualifications Accounting systems Management Managing accounting teams Tax preparation software Technical Proficiency Full Job Description Tax Manager Tax Manager Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to lead our tax compliance and planning efforts for a diverse client base. The Tax Manager will oversee preparation and review of individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns, ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations, provide tax planning recommendations, and mentor junior staff. This role requires strong technical tax knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and client relationships. Key Responsibilities Manage and review preparation of individual, partnership, and corporate federal and state tax returns to ensure accuracy and compliance. Provide technical tax research and interpret tax laws, rulings, and regulations; apply findings to client situations and internal policies. Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize client tax liabilities and support financial objectives. Supervise, mentor, and train tax staff; review workpapers, delegate assignments, and support professional development. Coordinate and manage client communications, deliverables, and timelines; build and maintain strong client relationships. Oversee tax provision calculations and work closely with accounting teams on tax accounting matters. Coordinate with external parties for audits, notices, and tax authority inquiries; prepare responses and support documentation. Identify process improvements and implement best practices to increase efficiency and quality in tax department workflows. Stay current on changes to tax legislation and communicate impacts to clients and internal teams. Qualifications Minimum 5-7 years of progressive tax experience in public accounting or a corporate tax environment with demonstrated experience managing tax engagements. Demonstrated experience as a Tax Manager or in a senior tax role; proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple client engagements. Strong technical knowledge of federal and state tax laws and practical experience preparing Individual, Partnership, and Corporate tax returns (nice to have: specific experience across all three).
Required skill:
hands-on expertise in tax preparation and review as a Tax Manager.
Nice to have:
CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or EA (Enrolled Agent) credential. Proficiency with tax research tools and tax software; strong Excel skills and comfort with accounting systems. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills; ability to present tax recommendations clearly to clients and stakeholders. High attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. For this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
