We focus on simplifying people operations, strengthening compliance, and acting as a true partner invested in each client's long‑term success. Position Overview We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Tax Manager to join our team. In this role, you will serve as a subject matter expert on payroll tax matters, ensuring accurate and timely compliance across federal, state, and local jurisdictions for our diverse client base. You'll collaborate closely with payroll and benefits teams to deliver the seamless, high-touch service our clients depend on. Key Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of payroll tax compliance, including federal, state, and local tax filings, deposits, and reconciliations Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll tax inquiries from clients and internal teams Research and resolve payroll tax notices, amendments, and agency correspondence Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll tax processes including W-2 and 1099 reconciliation and distribution Partner with the payroll operations team to ensure accurate tax setup and configuration for new and existing clients Identify process improvement opportunities and support the implementation of best practices Maintain organized, audit-ready documentation for all payroll tax activities Required Qualifications Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation required 3+ years of payroll tax experience, preferably in a multi-client environment Strong knowledge of federal, multi-state, and local payroll tax regulations High level of accuracy and attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain tax concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders Experience working with iSolved payroll platform Preferred Qualifications Project management experience, including the ability to manage multiple client engagements, deadlines, and cross-functional initiatives simultaneously Experience working with iSolved payroll platform Proficiency with payroll software and standard office tools
