Bailey Scarano, a mid-size, full-service public accounting firm located in Branford, CT, provides tax, audit and business advisory services to closely held businesses and high net worth individuals throughout the greater Connecticut shoreline area. We are currently seeking a dedicated tax leader with 5+ years of recent public accounting tax experience to oversee tax staff and lead tax engagements for a diverse roster of clients.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and/or review tax returns including corporate, individual, partnership, fiduciary and non-profit returns Lead engagements throughout all phases of tax and accounting including research, projections, planning, compliance, consulting and financial statement preparation Supervise and train less experienced tax staff Advise clients while building professional client relationships

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field CPA license or EA designation 5+ years of recent public accounting tax experience progressing in scope and responsibilities Understanding of tax law with the ability to perform effective tax research Experience independently dealing with tax notices and audits from various tax jurisdictions Strong communication, organizational and PC skills including Microsoft Office and tax software proficiency (CCH software proficiency is a plus) Ability to manage multiple priorities, communicate effectively with clients and all levels of staff and develop strong client relationships
