Tax Manager SR Staffing Shelton, CT Job Details $100,000 - $150,000 a year 1 day ago Qualifications CPA Research Full Job Description Our client , a well‑established public accounting firm, is seeking an experienced tax professional to join its leadership team. This role offers a blend of hands‑on client work, strategic tax planning, and team leadership, supporting closely held businesses, high‑net‑worth individuals, and fiduciary clients. Responsibilities Serve as a trusted tax advisor to a diverse client base, delivering compliance and consultative services Manage and review complex tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, estates, and gifts Develop proactive tax planning solutions tailored to sophisticated client needs Collaborate with external advisors, including legal and financial professionals, to provide integrated client support Conduct technical tax research and communicate conclusions clearly and concisely Stay current on federal and state tax law developments and assess planning implications Oversee client engagements, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timely delivery Review and prepare responses to IRS and state taxing authority notices Mentor and develop tax staff, providing technical guidance and performance feedback Build and maintain strong, long‑term client and internal relationships Qualifications 7+ years of progressive tax experience in a public accounting environment Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field CPA required or strongly preferred Solid technical knowledge across individual, business, partnership, and fiduciary taxation Experience with professional tax software (UltraTax preferred), accounting platforms, and Microsoft Office Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines simultaneously Excellent communication skills and a client‑service mindset Proven ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment The SR Group (UK) Limited is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
