Full Time Job Description Responsible for review of work papers and client deliverables (i.e. tax returns), coordination of client projects and due dates. This individual directly supports the Client Service Partner. Key Responsibilities Review all tax deliverables
  • returns and related filings (extensions, etc.
) for assigned clients/entities. Maintain work standards that minimize risk exposure Provide detailed focus on assigned projects, and alert the Partner of technical tax issues that may arise; participate in discussions regarding resolution of tax issues Manage staff assigned to clients/entities as well as the various due dates; coordinate staffing schedules with other Managers/Senior Managers to keep staff busy and flatten the peak busy seasons Apply RFA's comprehensive approach by identifying potential tax issues and coming up with possible solutions to review with Partner Deliver timely and quality work products, i.e. tax returns and work papers that meet or exceed internal (Partner) and external (client) expectations. Apply tax knowledge to individual client situations Develop ability to research technical tax issues and assist client service team in forming conclusions related to complex tax issues, including related Memo of Advice Support management of existing client revenue through review of work in progress (WIP's) and preparation of billings for special projects/consulting services provided to the client Proactively communicate areas where technical tax knowledge is needed, and work with Partner to determine personal development Mentor and help train and supervise tax associates/seniors
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Develop tax knowledge by applying technical skills to assigned projects under guidance from the Partne r ; This individual gains an understanding of the client's financial, business and family goals Review tax deliverables: multitasking review of work papers, review of data input to tax return software program, i.e. Go Systems and printing of all applicable filings/returns for review/signing by the Partner Ensure accuracy of all tax deliverables and consistency of the design and content of presentations and work papers
Qualifications Qualifications Knowledge:
BA/degree in Fin, Econ, Business, Accounting preferred, MBA or MST a plus; CPA desirable 10 years experience dealing with individual, fiduciary and entity tax compliance and tax issues. Strong accounting and analytical skills, basic knowledge concerning financial & estate planning.
Skills:
Client service orientation combined with creative problem solving skills, strong analytical skills, strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to manage personal time, effort and work
