Family Office Job Description Tax Manager Who:
A seasoned tax professional with 8+ years of experience in tax preparation and review, preferably with a CPA or Enrolled Agent license.

Manage and review complex tax returns, provide client-focused tax planning, and lead a team to deliver high-quality tax services.

Position Overview:
This role focuses on the preparation and review of complex business and individual tax returns, managing staff performance, ensuring tax compliance, and building strong relationships with clients. The Tax Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping the client experience and supporting the strategic growth of the firm.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review complex individual and business tax returns.
  • Lead client engagements and monitor deadlines.
  • Conduct tax planning and proactive strategy communication.
  • Respond to IRS/state audits and notices.
  • Manage and mentor staff, delegate projects, and support training.
  • Research complex tax issues and prepare memoranda.
  • Stay current on tax law changes through ongoing education.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; Master's in Tax preferred.
  • CPA or Enrolled Agent license required.
  • 8+ years of experience in tax preparation, including 2+ in a review/managerial role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CCH Tax Software and Salesforce preferred.
  • Strong written, verbal, and analytical skills.
  • High ethical standards and client-first approach.
  • Excellent problem-solving and leadership abilities.
