Tax & Accounting Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Tax Manager to lead tax planning, compliance, and reporting activities for our organization. The ideal candidate will have strong technical tax knowledge, leadership capabilities, and the ability to collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. This is a full-time position that seasonally requires long hours and weekend work. Key Responsibilities Preparing and reviewing complex federal and state income tax returns for businesses and individuals Ensure compliance with all tax laws and reporting requirements Maintain timely and accurate communication with team and clients to manage expectations, deadlines, and deliverables Lead tax planning initiatives to minimize risk and optimize tax strategies Review quarterly and annual tax provisions Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess business impact Collaborate with accounting and payroll teams Maintain accurate tax records and documentation Improve tax processes, controls, and efficiencies Generate new business for the firm through existing and new referral relationships obtained Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience CPA license preferred 5+ years of corporate or public accounting tax experience Experience with preparation of trusts, estates, and farm taxes preferred Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills Highly motivated, self-starter with ability to multitask Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications Retirement plan with company match Paid time off and holidays Professional development and CPA support Flexible work environment, half day Fridays during non-tax season Why Join Us?
