Job Description

Tax Manager Position Summary A growing public accounting firm is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to oversee client tax engagements, ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations, and provide high-quality tax planning and advisory services. This role will also support staff development and manage team workflows across multiple client engagements. This is a full-time position with a hybrid work arrangement available after an initial onboarding period. Key Responsibilities Manage and review tax engagements for individuals, corporations, and nonprofit organizations Provide tax planning, advisory, and business consulting services Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations Supervise, mentor, and direct accounting staff on tax-related assignments Manage multiple client engagements while meeting deadlines and budget expectations Build and maintain strong client relationships Research and resolve complex tax issues Communicate tax strategies and concepts clearly to clients and internal teams Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required Master's degree in Taxation preferred Active CPA license required 10+ years of tax and accounting experience Minimum 2 years of management or leadership experience Experience managing client engagements and leading teams Required Skills Strong knowledge of individual and business taxation Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively Strong client service and relationship management capabilities Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience 401(k) matching Health, life, and disability insurance Paid time off Work Environment Full-time position Hybrid flexibility available after initial onboarding period In-person collaboration required as needed
