US Supervisor, Tax

Essential functions of the role:

Serve as project advocate in the tax planning process to promote and implement tax-planning ideas. Administer the entities and structures that are a result of various tax and financial projects.

Participate in preparation and review of the various periodic sales/use tax returns, property tax filings and processing of the corresponding tax bills.

Maintains and completes all items on the due date tracker listing.

Responds to, investigates and follow up on customer inquiries, internal tax inquiries, and various governmental audits.

Assists with identifying both technical and process related improvements for the department and actively participates in the administration of the tax department.

Collaborates with outside advisors including CPA's, attorneys, etc.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Our ideal candidate will have:

4 years progressive experience in the tax department of an international accounting firm or in a large corporate tax departmentAn equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be consideredCPA (Certified Public Accountant - preferred)International Tax Experience (specifically Canada)Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)Masters Degree (MBA, MSA, MST - preferred) Gordon Food Service is an equal opportunity employer.
