Job Description
A growing organization is seeking a Tax Manager to join a newly created tax function following a recent merger. This is a high-impact, hands-on opportunity to help build out internal tax processes while gaining exposure to both domestic and international tax in a fast-paced, evolving environment. The Tax Manager role is a hybrid position based in Troy, MI. This is a permanent, direct-hire opportunity. Tax Manager Responsibilities Lead U.S. tax provision (ASC 740), including quarterly estimates and journal entries Support federal, state, and partnership tax compliance in coordination with external advisors Gather and analyze financial data to support tax filings and reporting requirements Assist with international tax initiatives, including transfer pricing and planning Drive process improvements, automation, and efficiencies within the tax function Collaborate cross-functionally to support accurate and timely tax reporting Support the transition of tax processes from outsourced to in-house operations Tax Manager Requirements Strong experience with ASC 740 (tax provision) Background in public accounting, ideally with exposure to international clients Experience with federal corporate and partnership tax Exposure to indirect tax, OneSource, and/or SAP is a plus Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams UHY Advisors' Resource Solutions Group provides clients with accomplished professionals to support finance, accounting, internal audit, and tax teams.
