Position Summary The Tax Manager is responsible for managing tax engagements, reviewing complex tax returns, mentoring staff, and providing high-quality client service. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines. Key Responsibilitie s Review medium to complex business and individual tax returns for accuracy, completeness, and compliance Research complex tax issues and clearly communicate findings and recommendations both verbally and in writing Stay current on tax laws, accounting standards, and continuing professional education requirements Assist with the training, development, mentoring, recruitment, and retention of professional staff Build and maintain strong client relationships while delivering exceptional client service Monitor engagement progress and communicate project status and deadlines with partners and team members Manage workflow, delegation, staffing utilization, and department productivity goals Collaborate with team leaders to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of projects Identify opportunities to improve firm operations, processes, and efficiencies Partner with senior leadership to identify growth opportunities with existing and prospective clients Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned Skills & Competencies Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong interpersonal and client relationship management abilities Advanced tax and accounting knowledge Effective leadership, delegation, and time management skills Proficiency with technology and a commitment to improving processes through innovation Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Commitment to delivering exceptional client service Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master's degree preferred CPA or EA certification preferred Minimum of 8 years of public accounting experience with a focus in taxation Prior experience supervising or mentoring staff preferred
Pay:
$100,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
