Tax Manager Salary:
120-150k

Plaza/Westport Area The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all tax related decisions and activities in the organization. You will help this company stay tax-compliant and up-to-date on new tax laws. This opportunity is with a privately held, family owned business that has been operating for over 100 years.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 4+ years of income tax experience including broad based exposure to federal and state income tax matters CPA certification Excellent managerial and leadership skills Good verbal and written communication skills Strong computer skills including proficiency with tax compliance and research software Public accounting experience a plus Estate/gift tax experience a plus Experience with business tax planning and individual estate planning
Responsibilities:
Review complex individual, trust, partnership and corporate income tax returns tax returns Review bookkeeping for small entities Make recommendations on return preparation regarding accuracy and tax saving opportunities Research and consult on various tax matters Respond to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities Manage work flow and supervise tax department staff Prepare tax projections and handle miscellaneous tax and financial projects Assist with miscellaneous sales tax and store license inquiries Analyze and recommend efficient short and long term tax planning strategies for companies and high net worth individuals
