Job Description

Tax Supervisor | Full-Time | On-Site The Role A growing public accounting firm is seeking a Tax Supervisor to oversee client engagements, review complex tax returns, and mentor staff across a diverse client portfolio. This role is ideal for an experienced tax professional who enjoys balancing technical tax expertise, client advisory services, and team leadership in a collaborative environment. What You'll Do Manage and review complex tax returns including partnerships (1065), C-corporations (1120), S-corporations (1120S), fiduciary returns, and high-net-worth individual returns (1040). Provide tax planning and advisory services for privately held businesses and individual clients. Support trust, estate, and gift tax compliance, planning strategies, and related reporting requirements. Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned clients, building and maintaining strong professional relationships. Review staff work for accuracy, compliance, and technical quality while providing coaching, mentorship, and developmental feedback. Supervise and support senior associates and staff throughout engagement execution and client deliverables. Collaborate with firm leadership and cross-functional teams to provide integrated solutions and exceptional client service. Research complex tax issues and communicate recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders. Manage multiple client engagements, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced public accounting environment. Monitor engagement budgets, timelines, and overall client satisfaction. Contribute to practice growth through client service excellence, relationship development, and business development initiatives. What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Accounting required. CPA license preferred. 7+ years of public accounting experience with strong exposure to individual and business taxation. Experience reviewing partnership, corporate, and high-net-worth individual tax returns. Experience with trust, estate, and gift tax matters preferred. Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required. Experience with CCH ProSystem Fx, CCH Planner, BNA, PPC, or similar tax software preferred. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication, leadership, and client relationship management abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Willingness to work additional hours during peak tax seasons as needed. Compensation $90,000-$105,000 (or commensurate with experience and qualifications). This posting is confidential. Firm details will be shared with qualified candidates during the interview process.
