Job Description:

Our client, a growing public accounting firm, is looking for a Tax Senior Manager or Director to take ownership of client relationships, provide strategic tax guidance, and lead day-to-day tax engagements. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with clients and mentoring staff while delivering high-quality service.

Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day relationships with a portfolio of small business and high-net-worth individual clients. Review and oversee preparation of complex tax returns, including individual, partnership, and corporate filings. Provide proactive tax planning strategies tailored to client-specific needs and long-term goals. Serve as the primary point of contact for client questions, notices, and tax-related matters. Lead and mentor staff and seniors, including reviewing work, providing feedback, and supporting development. Coordinate and manage multiple engagements, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met. Research complex tax issues and communicate conclusions clearly to clients and internal teams. Collaborate with firm leadership on client service strategies and process improvements.

Qualifications:

CPA license required. 7+ years of public accounting experience, with a focus on tax. Strong experience with pass-through entities, closely held businesses, and high-net-worth individuals. Proven ability to manage client relationships and lead engagements independently. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong technical tax knowledge and research capabilities.
