Position Overview:
The firm is seeking a Tax Manager to join their expanding team. In this leadership role, you will manage tax engagements for a range of clients, providing oversight and strategic direction to ensure compliance and optimal tax outcomes. You'll work closely with partners and other team members to deliver exceptional client service, develop tax strategies, and train junior staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the preparation and review of complex tax returns (1040, 1065, 1120, 1120S, 1041)Manage client relationships, providing proactive tax planning and advisory servicesResearch complex tax issues and work closely with shareholders on tax strategiesSupervise and mentor junior tax staff, ensuring quality and efficiencyStay current on tax laws and industry trends to deliver expert guidanceIdentify tax-saving opportunities and mitigate potential risks
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related fieldCPA license5+ years of tax experience in public accountingStrong knowledge of tax laws and regulations, particularly for business and individual tax clientsExcellent leadership, communication, and client management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience managing tax teams in a CPA firmFamiliarity with industries such as real estate, non-profits, and privately held businessesExperience with tax planning software and other advanced toolsWhat's in it for
