The Tax Manager will oversee a wide range of client engagements, prepare and review complex returns, resolve technical tax issues, and provide innovative tax planning solutions while developing tax staff and maintaining strong client relationships.Key Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple tax engagements, ensuring high-quality planning, consulting, and compliance services.
- Prepare and review complex returns for high-net-worth individuals, corporations, partnerships, estates, trusts, and nonprofit organizations.
- Review team members' work for accuracy, completeness, and budget adherence.
- Work closely with internal managers and partners to maintain and grow client relationships.
- Mentor and coach tax staff at various levels.
- Resolve technical tax issues and respond to IRS and state tax authority inquiries.
- Ensure timely delivery of client deliverables and manage expectations.
- Identify additional service opportunities and introduce relevant firm offerings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Active CPA license required.
- 5+ years of current or recent public accounting tax experience.
- Strong knowledge of IRS regulations and tax authority standards.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
- Proficiency with tax software and strong overall computer skills.
