Hybrid KTC Search is partnering with a nationally recognized public accounting and business advisory firm to identify a Tax Manager for its Logan, Utah office. Our client serves businesses across a wide range of industries and is known for combining strong technical expertise with a collaborative, relationship focused approach. The firm supports clients with complex tax, accounting, technology, and advisory needs. This is a strong opportunity for a tax professional who enjoys client interaction, team leadership, and strategic tax planning. The Tax Manager will oversee tax engagements, review complex returns, mentor staff, and serve as a trusted advisor to business owners and leadership teams. Key Responsibilities Serve as a primary point of contact and trusted advisor for assigned clients. Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and high quality service. Provide tax planning and consulting support aligned with client business objectives. Identify tax saving opportunities and recommend practical solutions. Partner with clients and internal teams to address complex tax matters. Manage tax engagements from planning through final delivery. Review federal, state, and local tax returns for accuracy, completeness, and compliance. Review work prepared by associates and senior associates, providing coaching and feedback. Conduct tax research and prepare technical memorandums as needed. Stay current on changes in tax legislation and communicate relevant impacts to clients and internal teams. Supervise, mentor, and support a small team of tax professionals. Manage engagement budgets, deadlines, and deliverables. Maintain high standards for quality, accuracy, and firm procedures. Support process improvements and best practices within the tax department. Assist with client growth and business development efforts when appropriate. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. CPA eligible or actively pursuing CPA licensure. Five or more years of progressive public accounting tax experience. Experience reviewing business and individual tax returns. Strong knowledge of federal and multi state tax regulations. Strong client service, communication, and relationship management skills.
