Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Tax Manager to join our growing team. As a trusted advisor, you will guide clients through complex tax matters, deliver top-tier service, and mentor future leaders within our firm. This role offers an opportunity to apply deep technical expertise, manage multiple engagements, and help shape the success of our tax practice through strategic leadership and relationship-driven client service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership & Team Development Lead, manage, and hold team members accountable. Supervise, mentor, and train staff while preparing seniors for advancement. Provide coaching and feedback to enhance professional growth. Foster a collaborative, positive, and high-performance culture. Client Management Serve as the primary contact for clients, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met. Build and maintain strong client relationships rooted in exceptional service. Identify opportunities to expand client services and support new business growth. Represent clients before taxing authorities and respond to complex notices and inquiries. Technical & Engagement Management Manage multiple engagements, ensuring quality control, project management, and billing accuracy. Review tax returns and work papers for accuracy and compliance with current regulations. Research complex tax issues, analyze alternatives, and communicate findings clearly. Maintain a strong understanding of IRC sections, corporate, individual, and partnership taxation.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Credentials Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master's in Taxation preferred. Active CPA license or progress toward CPA required (J.D., LL.M., or EA considered). Experience & Skills 4-6 years of tax experience in public accounting or a related environment. Proven success managing client relationships and supervising staff. Business development experience is a plus. Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is a plus. Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and tax-related software tools. Upholds confidentiality, ethics, and integrity in all professional matters.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Salary Range:
$90,000+
DOE Time Off:
15 paid holidays, 18 PTO days, plus 16 hours of Volunteer Time Off (VTO).
Billable target:
1,550 hours annually or less, depending on specific responsibilities.
