This firm recognises this. That's why they do everything they can to retain their good people. In the last 4 years their staff turnover rate has halved. It's now in the low single figures. Those that leave tend to be the ones that want to experience life outside of Public Accounting. They very rarely lose someone to another CPA firm. Why is this? You'll have a sensible schedule. Yes, even at busy season. You'll have good benefits and an annual pay rise. You won't be joining a firm that has promotion cycles. You'll be promoted on merit. Not because of the time of year or how long you've been there. You'll get exposure to a range of industries - manufacturing, construction, hospitality and cannabis to name a few. You'll have a broad remit and will be focussed on the review of entity and individual returns. You'll also manage the client relationships. These will be existing clients, no business development is required. You'll likely have 5+ years' experience working for a small or mid-sized CPA firm.
