Folsom, CaliforniaActively seeking a High Net Worth Individual Tax Manager (including Gift, Trust and Estate) with either a CPA and experience with Lacerte or similar tax software.
We are an independent investment financial advisory firm that specializes in retirement planning, investment advising, and 401(k) management with a direct approach to financial planning. We deliver long- and short-term investment planning solutions and advice to help clients achieve their goals and plan strategically for retirement.
We are a high growth, private equity backed, multi branch Registered Investment Advisor. Founded over 30 years ago in Sacramento, California, and still run by its original founders, we are primarily a fee-based, employee-centric fiduciary advisory firm, that prides itself on emphasizing client well-being and education. We're currently seeking a Tax Manager for our Folsom, CA office.
The Tax Manager is responsible for tax services provided to clients such as federal, state and local income tax preparation, tax projections and analysis, and notice resolution. This position will involve client-facing activities, providing comprehensive tax services to existing clients, and assisting our advisors and financial planning team with strategic tax planning.
This is a full-time, Exempt role based out of Folsom, CA. This position is a hybrid role. The base salary range for this role is $130,000-$140,000 per year. In addition, we also provide generous benefits to all our full-time employees.
You will apply technical knowledge to prepare and review income, estate/trust and gift tax returns and provide staff with feedback Review situations and transactions to determine federal, state and local filing requirementsAnalyze and respond to IRS, state, and local tax agency noticesParticipate in internal strategy discussions with clients and collaborate with their financial advisors Identify and resolve client tax related questions and issuesExhibit strong communication skills (verbal; written; presentation) with clients, advisors, tax authorities, firm staff, and managementPerforms other duties as assigned BS/BA Degree, accounting preferred Valid CPA license 6+ years individual, trust and gift tax return preparation and review experienceProficiency in income tax planning and complianceMulti-state tax preparation/filing experience preferred Form 1041 Trust & Estate and Form 709 Gift return experienceStrong Excel and other software skills Intuit Lacerte tax software experience preferredExcellent oral and written communication skills and attention to detailStrong interpersonal and client service skillsAbility to handle multiple priorities, clients and tight deadlinesBenefitsWe value our associates' time and effort.
