$125,000 - $150,000 base + bonus (DOE)

Overview:
This role sits on a lean, high-impact tax team supporting complex investment structures across multiple strategies. You'll own fund-level tax compliance while partnering closely with accounting, legal, and investment teams in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee end-to-end tax compliance for investment entities, including review of federal and state filings and investor reporting Partner with external advisors on domestic and international tax matters Support investor-facing teams on tax-related inquiries Manage withholding tax processes, including Forms 1042/1042-S and related filings Review complex informational filings (e.g., 5471, 8621, 8865) tied to entity structures Assist with tax reporting tied to entity formations, restructures, and dissolutions Manage tax notices and coordinate responses with internal teams and external providers Help drive process improvements and support internal tax operations
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 6+ years of tax experience, ideally within asset management or fund environments Public accounting background (Big 4 or similar) strongly preferred Strong understanding of partnership taxation and investment structures Advanced Excel skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications:
CPA or JD Exposure to alternative investments (private credit, private equity, or similar) Experience working cross-functionally with accounting, legal, and external advisors Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
