Job Description

Job DescriptionJob Description The Tax Manager will oversee complex tax engagements, manage client relationships, lead a team of tax professionals, and ensure the highest quality of service delivery. This individual should be a strong leader, technically proficient, and committed to delivering exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and review complex individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on tax planning and compliance matters Research and consult on various tax issues (e.g., R D credits, multi-state tax, etc.) Provide proactive tax planning strategies to clients to minimize liabilities and increase compliance Supervise, train, and mentor staff and senior accountants; participate in performance evaluations Monitor and manage tax engagement budgets and deadlines Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations Participate in the firm's business development initiatives
Qualifications:
CPA license required Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field 6+ years of recent experience in public accounting with a focus on taxation Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax codes and regulations Experience with tax software such as ProSystem fx, CCH Axcess, or similar Excellent analytical and organizational skills Proficiency in English is essential to communicate clearly and effectively with clients and team members Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
