Tax Supervisor

This role will suit someone who enjoys being trusted with clients rather than being kept one step removed from them. You'll be working for a long-established public accounting firm in Madison, Indiana. The office serves a loyal base of individuals and owner-managed businesses, with relationships that have often lasted for years. It's the sort of environment where your work is visible and your input matters. Madison itself sits within reach of Louisville, Indianapolis and Cincinnati, so the team includes people who live locally as well as those who commute in from surrounding areas. The preference is to have people onsite, though there is some flexibility for the right fit. As a Tax Supervisor, you would take ownership of client relationships while supporting junior staff and working closely with leadership on planning and review work. There is also a clear route forward for someone who wants to grow into management or partnership longer term. What you'd be doing Preparing and reviewing individual and business tax returns Managing client relationships across a portfolio of individuals and closely held businesses Supporting planning conversations alongside senior leadership Reviewing work prepared by staff and providing guidance Helping keep engagements moving through deadlines smoothly Acting as a key contact point for clients throughout the year What they're looking for 4 plus years of public accounting tax experience CPA or active CPA candidate preferred, EA also considered Confidence managing client relationships directly Someone comfortable reviewing work and supporting junior staff Interest in building a long term future with a smaller firm environment Why people move here Closer client relationships and broader involvement in decisions A stable office with long standing local connections Clear progression toward Manager level and beyond Flexibility considered for strong candidates A team environment where partners remain accessible If you are just browsing the job boards and have not dusted off that resume yet, that is not a problem, you can give me a call first. INDILL Pay:

$100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
