Job Description

U.S. Tax Manager New York, NY | Remote (United States) A well-established and growing accounting practice specializing in U.S. personal and corporate tax services is hiring a U.S. Tax Manager for a fully remote, senior-level technical review role. The position focuses on ensuring accuracy, compliance, and quality across a high volume of individual and corporate tax engagements, and it includes mentoring junior staff and working closely with firm leadership. This is a stable, year-round role for an experienced tax professional who enjoys detailed review and oversight work. Schedule Full-time, fully remote within the United States. Year-round workload. Compensation $90,000 - $110,000 Per Year What You'll Do You will review U.S. individual tax returns (Form 1040) and corporate tax returns (Forms 1120, 1120S, and 1065), along with supporting schedules and related financial information, to ensure accuracy, compliance, and consistency across all filings. You will act as a senior technical resource for complex tax matters, identify issues, and provide recommendations for resolution. You will provide technical guidance and mentorship to tax preparers, support workflow management and review deadlines, and assist in improving internal processes and quality control procedures. You will work closely with the firm's leadership team using cloud-based tax preparation systems, CCH tax software, QuickBooks, and secure client document portals. Required Qualifications Strong experience in U.S. personal and corporate taxation Proven experience reviewing tax returns (Forms 1040, 1120, 1120S, and 1065) Strong technical knowledge of U.S. tax regulations and compliance Experience working in a high-volume tax environment Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently in a remote environment Preferred Qualifications
U.S. CPA
