Job Description

Experience:
Senior Level Salary:
$130,000 - $190,000 per year Job Details -
Responsibilities:
1. Manage the preparation and review of federal and state tax returns, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to tax laws and regulations. 2. Utilize CCH software for tax return preparation, tax research, and tax planning. 3. Conduct tax research and interpret tax laws to provide accurate advice to clients. 4. Develop and implement strategic tax planning for clients. 5. Liaise with federal and state tax authorities to resolve any tax-related issues. 6. Supervise, mentor, and develop junior staff members. 7. Keep abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations and ensure that clients are well informed about these changes. 8. Collaborate with other departments to ensure tax compliance and identify tax-saving opportunities. 9. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports. 10. Participate in business development initiatives to expand the company's client base.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred. 2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in tax management, with a strong understanding of federal and state tax laws. 3. Proficiency in using CCH software for tax return preparation, tax research, and tax planning. 4. Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret tax laws and regulations. 5. Proven experience in managing the preparation and review of tax returns. 6. Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and mentor junior staff. 7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and tax authorities. 8. Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. 9. Strong business acumen with the ability to identify tax-saving opportunities. 10. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
