Monday•Friday | Full-Time | In Office About Our Client Our client is a growing public accounting and advisory firm serving small business owners, real estate investors, and entrepreneurs throughout Western Washington. This is not a traditional tax preparation role. The firm is seeking a Tax Manager who enjoys building client relationships, mentoring team members, improving processes, and helping clients make informed financial decisions. This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of a portfolio of clients while helping support the growth and development of a collaborative team. The ideal candidate is looking for more responsibility, greater visibility, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a growing organization.
What You'll Do:
Client Relationship Management Serve as a primary point of contact for business and individual tax clients Lead client onboarding and review meetings Build long-term client relationships through proactive communication Identify opportunities for additional planning and advisory services Help maintain strong client satisfaction and retention Tax Review & Compliance Review individual and business tax returns Provide technical guidance and quality control oversight Support complex tax situations involving S-Corporations, partnerships, and multi-entity structures Monitor deadlines and ensure timely completion of client work Team Leadership Support, mentor, and develop preparers and bookkeeping staff Review work and provide coaching and feedback Assist with training and onboarding initiatives Help maintain accountability and workflow efficiency Operations & Process Improvement Improve systems, workflows, and client service processes Assist with software implementation and process improvements Help support the continued growth of the firm QualificationsRequired Active CPA license or Enrolled Agent (EA) 5+ years of public accounting experience Experience reviewing individual and business tax returns Experience managing client relationships directly Experience mentoring, training, or leading others Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Preferred Tax Manager, Tax Supervisor, Senior Tax Associate, or similar experience QuickBooks Online proficiency Experience with Lacerte, TaxDome, Financial Cents, or similar platforms Exposure to tax planning and advisory services Experience working with small business owners and real estate investors Who Thrives In This Role You may be a strong fit if you: Enjoy building trusted client relationships Take ownership and follow through on commitments Like mentoring and developing team members Enjoy improving systems and processes Thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment Want an opportunity to have a larger impact on a firm's success Compensation & Benefits $100,000•$120,000 annual salary, depending on experience Performance bonus opportunities Revenue share opportunity $500 monthly health benefit stipend effective the first day of the month following completion of 30 days of employment One (1) week of paid vacation annually Six (6) paid holidays per calendar year Continuing education and licensing support Professional development opportunities Eligibility for additional benefits and programs in accordance with company policy Why Consider This Opportunity?
