Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Tax Preparer and Receptionist, where you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional financial services and creating a welcoming environment for clients. This energetic position combines the precision of tax preparation with the warmth of front-desk customer service, offering an engaging opportunity to develop your skills in accounting, financial software, and client relations. You will be at the forefront of helping individuals and small businesses navigate their tax needs while ensuring smooth daily operations at our busy office. Responsibilities Prepare and review individual and business tax returns with accuracy and attention to detail, utilizing tax experience and accounting software tools. Assist clients with inquiries related to tax filings, payments, and general financial questions, providing excellent customer service. Manage front desk duties including greeting visitors, scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and maintaining a professional office environment. Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks and Sage to record transactions, perform bookkeeping tasks, and support financial data entry. Conduct basic analysis of financial documents to ensure compliance with current tax laws and accounting standards. Support marketing efforts by promoting our services to prospective clients through outreach and follow-up communications. Maintain organized records of all client files, tax documents, and correspondence in accordance with confidentiality standards. Qualifications Previous experience in public accounting or corporate accounting is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of tax concepts, accounting principles, and financial software such as QuickBooks or Sage. Demonstrated proficiency in math, 10 key typing skills, and analysis skills for handling detailed financial data accurately. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Familiarity with bookkeeping, technical accounting practices, and general office management. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A proactive attitude towards learning new financial concepts and software tools.
