www.taxdebtservices.com Position Summary We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Bookkeeper & Tax Preparer . This dual-function role is critical to providing accurate financial and tax compliance services to our clients. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing bookkeeping using QuickBooks Online and preparing a variety of tax returns using Intuit ProSeries .
Key Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping & Accounting Perform comprehensive, full-cycle bookkeeping services for multiple business and individual clients using QuickBooks Online . Execute tasks including transaction management, bank and credit card reconciliations, and month-end close procedures. Generate accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet) and provide clear reporting to clients and management. Tax Preparation Prepare and accurately file federal and state income tax returns for individuals (1040) and various business entities (1120, 1120-S, 1065, etc.) using Intuit ProSeries . Stay current on changes in federal and state tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements. Client Communication & Support Maintain professional, clear, and timely communication with clients regarding their financial records and tax preparation status. Assist the tax resolution team by providing required accounting data and support for ongoing tax cases.
Qualifications Experience:
3+ years of professional experience in both full-charge bookkeeping and preparing individual and business tax returns.
Software Proficiency:
High competency and direct experience with QuickBooks Online and professional tax preparation software, specifically Intuit ProSeries (highly preferred).
Education:
Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
Certification:
Active CPA license or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification (preferred).
Skills:
Strong analytical ability, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.
Compensation & Benefits Competitive Salary:
$65,000 - $75,000 annually (based on experience)
