Job DescriptionJob Description The Corporate Tax Preparer plays a key role in managing the tax preparation process for small and mid-sized businesses. Working primarily in a small team of 2-5 professionals, this position involves direct client interaction to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely tax filing and financial reporting. The role focuses on maintaining regulatory compliance, performing detailed financial analysis, and supporting various tax documentation needs. Responsibilities Prepare Corporate tax returns accurately and on schedule Conduct financial analysis to support tax filing and reporting Ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations Review and verify supporting tax documents and records Consult with clients to gather financial information and clarify tax matters Manage data entry and record keeping for corporate tax files Generate reports related to tax preparation activities Provide occasional support during audits, though rarely involved Preferred Qualifications Over 5 years of experience in corporate tax preparation Enrolled Agent (EA) credential or equivalent certification Strong knowledge of corporate tax law and regulatory compliance Proficiency with tax preparation software such as TurboTax or TaxAct Experience with financial reporting and Microsoft Excel Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking skills Effective communication and time management abilities
