This role is responsible for preparing individual and business tax returns, maintaining accurate financial records, and providing excellent client service in both English and Spanish. Key Responsibilities Tax Preparation Prepare and file federal and state tax returns (Form 1040, 1065, 1120S, etc.) Review client documents for accuracy and completeness Ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations Communicate with clients regarding tax matters, missing information, and follow-ups Bookkeeping Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts Record financial transactions, including income, expenses, and payroll entries Perform bank and credit card reconciliations Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet) Assist with year-end closing and reporting Client Support Provide exceptional customer service in both English and Spanish Assist clients with questions regarding taxes, bookkeeping, and financial records Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times Qualifications Bilingual (English & Spanish) - required Proven experience in tax preparation and bookkeeping Knowledge of IRS regulations and tax filing requirements Experience with tax software (e.g., CrossLink, Drake, ProSeries) Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines Preferred Qualifications PTIN (Preparer Tax Identification Number) Prior experience in a CPA firm or tax office Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Performance-based bonuses Opportunities for growth and advancement
