Preferred:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field CPA, EA, or PTIN certification is a plus

Job Description:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Tax Preparer to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for preparing and filing tax returns for individuals and businesses while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. The role requires analytical skills and knowledge of tax laws and filing procedures. Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, businesses and organizations Review financial records, such as income statements and documentation of expenditures, to determine appropriate tax deductions and credits Advise clients on tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities Ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and answer tax-related questions Identify potential tax credits and liabilities and ensure accurate and timely tax return filing Stay up to date with changes in tax laws and regulations Assist with audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities Maintain confidentiality of client financial information
Work Environment:
In-office position Requires extended hours during peak tax season
