We are a growing small public accounting firm looking for an experienced CPA or Enrolled Agent to join our team. Position Responsibilities:
Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements Prepare and review individual and business tax returns, including: Form 1040 Form 1065 Form 1120 Form 1120S Form 990 Perform general ledger accounting, journal entries, and account reconciliations Review bookkeeping activities and assist clients with accounting needs Review payroll reports and payroll-related items Prepare and review sales tax filings Communicate directly with clients in a professional and friendly manner Assist clients with IRS correspondence and tax matters Research accounting and tax issues while staying current with regulations Maintain confidentiality of client financial information
Qualifications:
Active CPA license or Enrolled Agent (EA) required 3-5 years of public accounting experience required Strong knowledge of accrual accounting principles Experience preparing financial statements and tax returns Proficiency with accounting and tax software preferred, including: QuickBooks UltraTax Accounting CS Fixed Assets Strong Excel skills Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities Professional communication skills and a client-focused mindset
Tax Season Schedule:
During tax season, additional hours are required, including some Saturdays. Typical tax season hours range approximately 45-55 hours per week .
