- Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Experienced Tax Preparer and Accountant to join our dynamic financial team.

Duties Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, estate, and trust tax returns with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Conduct detailed financial statement preparation, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports using various accounting software such as QuickBooks and specialized financial tools. Perform thorough account reconciliations, general ledger analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations to maintain precise financial records. Assist clients with estate planning strategies, wills, trusts, and estate law considerations while integrating tax implications into comprehensive financial plans. Support auditing processes by preparing documentation for SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance and conducting internal audits to identify discrepancies or areas for improvement. Analyze financial data to interpret trends, support mergers & acquisitions activities, or facilitate investment decisions within private equity or asset management contexts. Provide expert guidance on regulatory reporting requirements related to securities law, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), non-profit accounting, and other specialized areas of finance. Collaborate with clients on financial sales initiatives by offering insights into financial concepts such as GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), debits & credits, budgeting, and asset management strategies. Skills Extensive tax experience with a strong understanding of tax accounting principles and procedures. Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, and other financial management tools. Deep knowledge of estate planning laws, wills, trusts & estate law to advise clients effectively. Familiarity with SOX compliance standards for auditing and regulatory reporting purposes. Expertise in corporate accounting practices such as general ledger reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable management, and balance sheet analysis. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial reports and conduct detailed financial analysis. Experience in non-profit accounting as well as private equity or mergers & acquisitions activities. Excellent understanding of financial concepts like GAAP standards, double entry bookkeeping, budgeting techniques, and asset management strategies. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high accuracy under tight deadlines. Exceptional communication skills to explain technical accounting information clearly to clients or team members.
