Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as an Accountant/Tax Preparer and become a vital part of delivering accurate financial services and expert tax solutions. You will be responsible for preparing tax returns, managing financial records, and providing insightful analysis to support clients' financial goals. Duties Prepare individual, business, and estate tax returns with precision, ensuring compliance with current tax laws and regulations. Conduct detailed financial statement preparation, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports using advanced accounting software such as QuickBooks, Quicken, or similar platforms. Perform account reconciliation and general ledger accounting to maintain accurate financial records. Analyze financial data to interpret results, identify discrepancies, and recommend strategic improvements aligned with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Support corporate accounting functions including accounts payable, payroll processing, budgeting, and regulatory reporting. Experience Proven experience in public accounting or private sector financial services with a strong background in tax experience and technical accounting. Demonstrated knowledge of financial concepts such as double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, asset management, and financial analysis. Familiarity with accounting software including QuickBooks, Quicken, or similar tools for bookkeeping and financial report writing. Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex financial statements and perform balance sheet reconciliation. Excellent understanding of GAAP standards and tax regulations to ensure accurate reporting and compliance. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
